Reebok exercise bikes are not as popular as some of their other fitness equipment. And a few years ago, it was hard to find a decent Reebok bike on the market.

However as of this writing, there are a few more choices. You can find everything from Reebok recumbent, to upright to indoor cycling bikes.

Reebok is a subsidiary of Icon Health and Fitness, one of the largest producers of exercise equipment in the world, who also manufacture brands like Proform, Nordic Track, Healthrider, Freemotion and Epic.

This explains why Reebok bikes look so similar to many of these other brands. Are they right for you?

Here's a quick overview of some of the strengths and weaknesses of Reebok exercise bikes to help you decide.

Strengths:

#1 Affordable Prices

Most Reebok Bikes are under $800 which makes them affordable for the home gym on a budget. Plus if you buy them direct from ICON's discount store - Workout Warehouse - you can get Free Shipping to your home which also save you money.

#2 Video Games

Some Reebok bikes like the RT310 and the RX 3.0 come with built-in console video games like  Calorie Destroyer, Fat Blocker, Texas Hold 'em or Blackjack. So the harder you pedal in some of these games, the easier the game becomes. This is a great way to pass the time while you workout - and something that many bike brands do not have.

#3 Backlit Consoles

Most Reebok exercise bikes come with backlit consoles - which makes it easier to read your workout stats. Even if lighting in your workout area is limited, you don't have to strain your eyes to read your stats.

#4 iPod Docks

You can plug in your iPod or mp3 player to the console and listen to your favorite tunes as you workout. Several models (not all) offer this feature.

#5 iFit Card Reader

Some models like the RX 2.0 Trainer and the RX3.0 Recumbent trainer have a slot to insert iFit cards. iFit cards hold 8 weeks of personal trainer workouts on each card. So it's a great way to add even more workouts to your bike.

Weaknesses:

ICON seems to be focusing more on putting the most money towards their Nordic Track and Proform brands since these bikes generally offer more of the latest options and more value for the money.

For example, with NordicTrack bikes you get iFit LIVE - a step up from the iFit card reader. And Proform is carrying the Tour De France training bike which offers incline and decline - a huge step up from any of the Reebok sports trainer bikes. These bikes also tend to be covered by longer warranties.

Conclusion:

While Reebok bikes do offer some decent value - you really have to search for a deal among the options to make sure you're getting a good buy. For example the RX3.0 trainer is an excellent value for a recumbent bike at under $500 - but if the price climbs any higher, it starts to fall down.

Also, you may want to compare Reebok bikes to current NordicTrack bikes at the same price range before you buy, just to make sure you're getting the best deal.
