Review:
If you're looking for a sturdy, stable upright bike, the Schwinn 113 is one of the best options out there.
With 10 built-in workout programs and 16 resistance levels, it's hard to get bored. The backlit LCD console is clear and easy-to-read showing you time, interval time, RPM, watts, distance, pulse, speed, calories, and resistance. There's also an adjustable built-in fan to help keep you cool while working out.
The handlebars are angle adjustable with integrated grip heart rate sensors to help you stay in the target heart rate zone.
Other little extras include a reading rack, integrated coin/key tray to stash your small items, and transport wheels for easy moving.
The Schwinn 113 was also rated a "Best Buy" from Consumer Reports, particularly in the area of exercise range and quality.
Final Conclusion: Highly Recommended
The Schwinn 113 is one of our favorite upright exercise bikes because it offers high value construction for an incredible price. For under $400 you get 16 levels of magnetic resistance, heart rate monitor, padded seat, 10 workout programs, a solid warranty and an attractive, easy-to-read console.
The workout fan, adjustable handbars and reading rack are all just icing on the cake. A Consumer Reports 'Best Buy' rating is also a plus.
Obviously for this price you aren't going to get a health-club quality bike, however compared to similarly-priced upright bikes, the Schwinn 113 is superior.
Where To Buy At A Discount
If you don't want to pay the retail price of $549, you can save money by buying the Schwinn 113 upright bike through Amazon.
They sell through 3rd party sellers so you can compare models and get the best deal. You can also often get deals on shipping and/or sales tax too.
