Bowflex Velocore Bike – Key Benefits:
Get A More Immersive Experience with Leaning Mode
Yes, the bike actually leans as you cycle.
You can sway back and forth and lean into the curves of the road while cycling with the Velocore.
This not only gives you a more intense, immersive experience – but it also helps you work different core muscles that you don’t work with a regular bike.
Don’t want to lean?
No problem – just put the bike into stationary mode and use it as a regular training bike.
This also makes it a great choice for families – one person can get a more intense, leaning experience. Another person can take a nice, gentle ride in stationary mode.
Full-Color, HD Console
You can choose the size of console you want with this bike – 16 or 22 inches.
You can connect through the console with the Bowflex JRNY app (JRNY is Bowflex’s streaming service).
From there you can ride a variety of world trails for some virtual reality training fun (there are currently around 40 trails to choose from).

You can also get customized, adaptive workouts tailored specifically to your fitness level.
Need some motivation? Stream one of the trainer-led Bowflex Velocore bike workout videos to your console.

Or maybe you just want to ride and be distracted by your favorite shows.
With the Bowflex JRNY app subscription you can also connect to your Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus or Amazon Prime Video accounts and binge-watch your favorite shows as you ride.
Another bonus?
There’s a built-in media rack in front of the console. You can attach your phone or tablet and surf the net. Or even connect to other cycling apps like Peloton, Ride the World or Zwift.

6-Position Adjustable Handlebars
The 6-position handlebars give you several different positions to place your arms as you ride – which is great if you have shoulder issues.
The handlebars are also vertically adjustable so you can find the right fit for you.
100 Resistance Levels
You get a lot of room to grow on this bike – with up to 100 resistance levels. The resistance is adjusted by turning the manual knob on the bike frame in front of the seat.
Vertical and Horizontally Adjustable Seat
The seat is both vertically and horizontally adjustable for a more comfortable, tailored workout feel. You can also adjust the console screen up or down to put in more in your line of sight and reduce strain on your neck.
Free 3-Pound Handweights
The Velocore leaning bike also comes with a pair of 3 pound handweights that you can use for extra upper body crosstraining.
They fit in the front rack for quick storage. These are great if you want to add some upper body strength training to your workouts.
Bowflex Velocore Bike Review – Any Drawbacks?
You can do a limited amount of things with the free JRNY app on this bike. However you will need a full monthly subscription if you want all the benefits of the Bowflex JRNY app like streaming your Netflix, Amazon or Hulu apps.
Also, some people don’t like manual resistance knobs on their bikes. You have to reach down every time you want to change your resistance (which can interrupt your workout flow).
Bottom Line?
If you’re looking for a more immersive cycling experience the Bowflex Velocore may be worth your time.
The leaning mode is something you don’t find on other bikes and it can help work different core and upper body muscles you don’t work with other bikes.
Plus you can take fitness classes or ride world trails from the console. Or just stream your favorite Netflix, Disney Plus or Hulu shows – something you don’t usually get with these streaming bikes.
Overall it packs a lot of value into the price – and you’ll never run out of things to do or watch on this bike.
