Full Color, HD Console
You get an extra-large, 14-inch full-color, HD, touch-screen console on this bike. This is one of the largest screens you can find on a home recumbent bike. It feels more like a console you’d see on a $4000+ commercial bike.
See your workout stats easily with a swipe of your finger.
You can also connect directly to iFit through the screen and get professional cycling training at home. Cycle famous trails with world-reknown coaches who guide you through the workout.

The console also gives you a dual-speed cooling fan to stay cool during those long rides.

The Nordictrack R35 bike comes with a simple step-through design. So there’s not large barrier to trip over when you get on the bike – as you sometimes get with other recumbent models.

Padded Mesh-Back Style Seat For Cooler, More Comfortable Workouts
The seat on the Nordictrack Commercial R35 recumbent is made for extra comfort. It’s molded with extra padding on the bottom and offers lumbar support to support your lower back.
It’s a mesh-type back style which lets the air circulate in and around your back to keep you cooler when you’re working out.
It’s also easily adjustable so you can find the right pedal distance for your height. And there are 2 cup holders on either side for your drink or keys remote, etc. which is also pretty handy.
25 lb Flywheel For Super-Smooth Ride
Heavier flywheels tend to give you a smoother ride – especially during the transitions between resistance levels or when slowing down. You don’t get that jumpy start-and-stop motion you sometimes get with cheaper bikes.
The Nordictrack Commercial R35 bike gives you a heavy 25 pound flywheel which helps to give you a smoother feeling ride.
Resistance Controls On Side Handrails
The Nordictrack R35 recumbent also comes with resistance controls on the side handrails – so you don’t have to reach up to the console to do it.
You can make quick changes on the fly with this feature – which is very handy if you’re designing your own workout. Having the side handrails there is also a nice touch since you have somewhere to rest your arms.
Nordictrack R35 Bike – The Cons:
While you can currently get iFit Coach included for a limited time, if you want to continue using the iFit workouts, you’ll eventually have to renew the subscription.
You don’t need iFit to use this bike however – it works just fine without it and will still display your stats etc. So it’s just an option if you want to keep using iFit.
Also at 192 lbs, this bike is not exactly the lightest recumbent bike on the market. The heavier weight makes it great for stability. But it doesn’t make it the easiest bike to move around frequently.
Bottom Line?
