Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro vs Proform Studio Bike Pro – Which is Best For You?
Trying to compare the Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro vs Proform Studio Bike Pro exercise bikes?

These are both popular indoor cycling bikes with features you don’t usually find with other models – like streaming workouts, included handweights and even full-color, HD consoles!
Both bikes also come with vertically and horizontally adjustable seats with ergonomic racing handlebars.

So how are they different? And which bike is best for you?
This post will break down the main differences between the Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro vs Proform Studio Bike Pro for you. Let’s take a look at how they compare:

Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro vs Proform Studio Bike Pro – Price
As of this writing, the Proform Studio bike comes in a little more affordable. You can get it for around $999 with Free Shipping here.
The Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro bike has a few more upgrades and comes in a little higher – around $1399 with Free Shipping here.
So is the Grand Tour Pro worth the extra money? Let’s look at it a bit closer.

Grand Tour Pro vs Proform Studio Bike Pro – Console
Both consoles are full-color and touch-screen so you can see your stats in full color with a swipe of your finger as you cycle.
They both come iFit compatible – so you can stream the iFit world trails or cycling classes through your console. They’re also both the same size – at 10 inches across.
However there are a few design differences here.
Here’s the Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro console:

And here’s the Proform Studio Bike Console:

So they’re both pretty impressive – but let’s break down the differences.
The Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro console has a dual-speed cooling fan that you don’t get with the Proform. You also get an adjustable tablet holder above the console – another thing you don’t get with the Proform bike.

This is a huge benefit and a lot of people really like that tablet holder. You can attach your tablet and surf the net as you cycle or watch your favorite TV shows or movies.
Also note that the handweights are stored in front of the console on the Nordictrack bike. So they’re easier to reach than behind the seat – which is where they’re stored on the Proform bike.
The Proform Studio Bike Pro console doesn’t have these things – but it does swivel 180 degrees. So you can get off the bike and continue to do your workouts or crosstrain.

So both bike consoles have their benefits – it really depends on what you’re looking for and what you prefer.
Grand Tour Pro vs Studio Bike Pro – Incline
The Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro also gives you up to 10% incline and 10% decline – which is a very cool feature. This helps to add more crosstraining options to your workout.

It also works with iFit Coach to mimic the actual terrain you’re riding. So the bike will automatically incline and decline to match the trail for a more realistic cycling experience.
The Proform Studio Bike Pro does not have incline or decline options.

Proform Studio Bike Pro vs Grand Tour Pro – Stability
Both bikes are quite solid and strong. However, you may notice that the Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro has a bit more substance and weight to the bottom of the bike.
The Proform Studio Bike Pro mimics more of a slim outdoor riding cycling whereas the Grand Tour Pro is closer to a souped-up home exercise bike.
What does this mean for you?
Basically it means that overall, the Grand Tour Pro can take a bit more use – and abuse. It has a much higher user weight capacity – 375 pounds vs 250 pounds on the Proform bike. So it’s going to feel a bit more stable when you really work it.

Bike Adjustments
The Proform Studio Pro bike comes with interchangeable pedals – so you can change these out to different pedals if you want to. You can also change the seat out for one of your choosing as well.
You don’t have this option with the Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro bike. This may or may not matter to you – but it’s something to know before you buy.

Bottom Line?
So what’s the bottom line when it comes to the Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro vs Proform Studio Bike Pro?
Well, they both have benefits. The Proform Studio Bike Pro has the swivelling console and interchangeable pedals and seat.
The Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro has the tablet holder, cooling fan, incline and decline as well as a bit more weight to the base of the bike.
So it comes down to what you want.
The good news?
Both bikes will stream iFit workouts and world trails directly to your console so you’ll never run out of new things to do on either bike.
Plus, as of this writing, you can get a 1-year membership to iFit included with either bike (use the links below to get iFit included with your bike).
