Nordictrack Grand Tour vs Pro Bike Comparison – Which is Best For You?
Trying to compare the Nordictrack Grand Tour vs Grand Tour Pro bikes?
Wondering how they stack up?

You’re not alone. These are two indoor cycles that offer you some features you don’t usually find with other upright bikes – like incline and decline, handweights in the console and even full-color, touch-screen HD consoles!
The Nordictrack Grand Tour and Grand Tour Pro bikes also both come with tablet holders above the console – so you can watch your favorite movies or shows as you workout.

Both bikes also come with vertically and horizontally adjustable seats with ergonomic racing handlebars and oversized, ergonomic pedals.
So how are they different? And which model is best for you?
Here’s a rundown of the main differences between the Nordictrack Grand Tour vs Grand Tour Pro bike to help you decide:
Nordictrack Grand Tour vs Grand Tour Pro – Price
The Nordictrack Grand Tour bike is the more affordable of the two bikes coming in around $999 with Free Shipping here.
The Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro is the next model up in the series with a few more perks – so it comes in a bit higher. As of this writing, you can get it for around $1499 with Free Shipping here.
So is the Grand Tour Pro worth the extra money? Let’s look at some of the details.
Nordictrack Grand Tour vs Pro – Console
Both consoles are full-color and touch-screen so you can see your workout stats in full color as you bike. You can also watch the iFit Coach world scenery and streaming workouts in full color through either console.
The difference here is the size of the display. The Nordictrack Grand Tour Bike Console is 7 inches across:

And the Nordictrack Grand Tour PRO is larger at 10 inches across:

So it’s going to be easier and more enjoyable to see your workout stats and watch the iFit Coach workouts with the larger screen on the Grand Tour Pro bike.
Both bike consoles give you the tablet holder above the console – so you can surf the net or watch movies or tv shows as you cycle. They both also have a dual-speed fan to keep you cool.
Grand Tour vs Pro Bike: Resistance Levels
The Grand Tour Pro bike has more resistance levels than the Grand Tour model: 26 vs 24. This isn’t a huge difference – but it does give you a bit more room to grow as your fitness levels improve.
Built-in Workouts
The Grand Tour PRO model also gives you a few more built-in workouts: 35 vs 32. Again this isn’t a huge difference. And if you’re planning on getting iFit Coach – which gives you unlimited new workouts anyways, it really doesn’t matter.
However it’s something to be aware of when comparing the two models.

Nordictrack Grand Tour vs Pro – Stability
The Nordictrack Grand Tour Pro bike is a bit heavier with a heaver user weight capacity (375 pounds vs 350 pounds). So it’s a bit more stable and will hold up better under heavy or more intense use than the Grand tour model.
Heart Rate Monitor Differences
Both bikes come with EKG Hand grip sensors in front of the console to track your heart rate. However if you get the Grand Tour Pro bike through the Manufacturer here, you can also get a Free wireless Heart Rate Chest Strap included.
A lot of people like the chest strap because it tends to give you more accurate heart rate feedback than the hand grip sensors.
While the Grand Tour bike will work with a wireless chest strap, it does not come included. You’ll have to buy it yourself if you want to track your heart rate wirelessly.

Bottom Line?
So which is better when comparing the Nordictrack Grand Tour vs Grand Tour Pro bikes?
They both have their benefits.
The Nordictrack Grand Tour bike is more affordable, making it more attractive budget-wise. It also gives you everything you need for a fun workout including the iFit Coach workouts, tablet holder and incline/decline.
However the Pro model gives you a larger console window, making it more enjoyable to view your stats.
It’s also heavier, which gives you added stability. And you get more resistance levels for added challenge.
So at the end of the day it really depends on your budget, preferences and workout goals.
