Wondering which is best for you?
These two bikes are crazy popular right now – mainly because they give you a much more immersive cycling experience than other bikes on the market.
With the full-color consoles and iFit Coach streaming you can ride trails all over the world, take a guided cycling tour or even take a high-energy studio fitness class from your home.
They both also give you adjustable seats and adjustable handlebars for a more comfortable ride, along with a free pair of handweights to help you work your upper body.
So how are these bikes different?
And which is best for you?
Here’s a breakdown of the key differences between the Nordictrack S22i vs Proform Studio Bike Pro to help you decide:
Nordictrack S22i vs Proform Studio Bike Pro – Price

So is the S22i worth the extra money? Let’s take a closer look:
Nordictrack S22i vs Proform Studio Bike Pro – Console
Both consoles are full-color, HD and touch-screen ready – so you can see your workout stats in full color as you bike. You can also watch the iFit Coach world scenery and streaming workouts in full color through either console.
The difference here is the size of the console window. The Studio Bike Pro comes with a smaller 10-inch console:
The Nordictrack S22i bike comes with a massive 22-inch, touch-screen console:
The Nordictrack S22i is one of the largest consoles we’ve ever seen on a bike. It’s like having a built-in, interactive tv right in your console.
The console on the Proform Studio Bike Pro is still larger than other bikes. So it’s no slouch either, as far as bike consoles go.
But basically the Nordictrack S22i model gives you a console that is more than twice the size of the Proform Studio Bike Pro. This can make your iFit coach world scenery workouts come alive and can make your cycling experience a lot more enjoyable.
The good news?
Both bike consoles swivel and rotate 180 degrees – which is a popular feature. You can continue to watch the iFit coach workouts while off the bike (for example if you’re doing yoga or stretching workouts.
However it’s fair to point out that the workouts will be a bit easier to watch on the larger screen on the Nordictrack S22i bike.
Nordictrack S22i vs Proform Studio Bike Pro – Incline and Decline
The Nordictrack S22i gives you up to 20% incline and up to 10% decline – which is a very cool way to add some extra crosstraining to your workout.
Plus, the bike will automatically adjust the incline and decline to match the terrain of the iFit Coach world trail that you’re cycling – for a little virtual reality fun (you can override this is you want).
The Proform Studio Bike does not have incline or decline.
Nordictrack S22i vs Proform Studio Bike – Handlebars
The Proform Studio Bike does give you 5-position adjustable handlebars.
However the handlebars on the Nordictrack S22i are just a bit more padded and comfortable (also adjustable). You also get resistance and incline controls on the handlebars for quick changes (not the case with the Proform Studio Bike handlebars).
The tray to hold your handweights is out front of the console on the Nordictrack S22i. This is more convenient than the Proform Studio Bike – which stores them behind the seat.
The Proform Studio Bike Pro is built with commercial-Gauge solid steel construction, and inertia enhanced flywheel for a super-smooth ride.
The Nordictrack S22i Studio Cycle is also built with heavy commercial-gauge solid steel construction and inertia enhanced flywheel. However it goes a little bit further with enhanced corrosion resistance.
Proform Studio Bike vs Nordictrack S22i – Stability
Both bikes are quite stable with a commercial-grade, solid steel frame. However the Nordictrack S22i bike has just a bit more substance to it.
It’s a bit heavier and has a higher user weight capacity (350 pounds) vs the Proform Studio Bike (250 pounds).
This means it will feel more stable under heavy or intense use. It also makes it a great choice for multiple-user families.
On the other hand, the Proform Studio Bike – because it’s lighter – will be a bit easier to move around. So it depends on what you want.
So what’s the bottom line when comparing the Nordictrack S22i vs Proform Studio Bike Pro?
They both have their own benefits. The Proform Studio Bike Pro is more attractive from a budget point of view. Plus it gives you everything you need for an effective, fun, immersive workout.
However the Nordictrack S22i bike takes it up to another level with a much larger console – more than twice the size – which can really make a difference to your enjoyment of your workout.
It also gives you the incline and decline options, more comfortable handlebars and a slightly more stable feel.
So it really comes down to what you’re looking for and what you prefer to have.
