Nordictrack S22i vs Proform TDF Pro Bike Comparison
Which is Best for You?
Trying to compare the Nordictrack S22i vs Proform TDF Pro?
Wondering which is best for you?
These are two popular indoor training bikes that give you a lot more cutting-edge features than other indoor training bikes.

For example, they both give you incline and decline for a more realistic training experience.
Plus they both work with iFit Coach – so you can bike famous trails all over the world – from the streets of Paris to the Grand Canyon. The bikes will even incline and decline to match the actual terrain for you.
You can also stream high-energy cycling classes directly to your bike with these models. So you’ll never run out of things to do on these bikes.

Another similarity? They both come with free 3 pound handweights included so you can work your upper body as well.
So how are these bikes different?
And which is the best value for you?
This post will show you the key differences between them to help you decide:
Nordictrack S22i vs Proform TDF Pro – Price
As of this writing the Proform TDF Pro is slightly more affordable coming in around $1699 with Free Shipping here.
The Nordictrack S22i Indoor cycle is just a few hundred more at around $1999 with Free Shipping here. So is it worth the extra money for the S22i bike? Let’s find out.
Console Differences
Both bikes give you an amazing full-color, HD touch-screen console. You can use this to connect to iFit Coach and ride trails all over the world for some virtual reality fun.
You can also take streaming cycling classes (or other exercise classes) directly from your bike console.
The difference here is in the size of the console. The Proform TDF PRO console measures 10 inches across as seen below:

The Nordictrack S22i however is more than twice the size at 22 inches across as seen below:

So it can be a lot more enjoyable cycling the world trails or watching the cycling classes with the larger console on the Nordictrack S22i bike. The larger console also makes your workout stats easier to read.
Both consoles carry a dual-speed fan to keep you cool and incline/resistance controls near the console.

Proform TDF PRO vs Nordictrack S22i – Decline
Both bikes give you up to 20 degrees of incline – which is very cool. The Nordictrack S22i also gives you up to 10 degrees of decline as well.
However the Proform TDF PRO gives you a bit more with up to 20 degrees of decline. So you have a few more decline options with this bike.
Handlebar Differences
The handlebar setup is a bit different on the Nordictrack S22i vs Proform TDF Pro bike.
The Proform TDF Pro bars are a bit more bare bones and not padded. Plus you’ll notice the handweight cage is on the front of the bike, so you have to reach down to get the handweights.
The Nordictrack S22i handlebars are a bit more molded and padded for extra comfort. Plus the handweights are right in the front of the bike. So they’re easier to reach. It’s just a nicer setup overall on the Nordictrack S22i bike.

Nordictrack S22i vs Proform TDF – Resistance
The Nordictrack S22i bike comes with 22 resistance levels – which is pretty good.
However you get a few more resistance levels on the Proform TDF Pro – 26 resistance levels in total. So you have a few more options with resistance here.

Tour De France Workouts
The Proform TDF Pro bike comes with 24 on-board Tour De France workouts – something that you won’t find on the Nordictrack S22i bike.
However it’s fair to note that iFit Coach does carry several Tour De France workouts as well. So you could also access these workouts through iFit Coach on the Nordictrack S22i bike. It’s an easy workaround if you want to try Tour De France workouts on the S22i bike.
Note that iFit Coach comes with both bikes – and you’ll get access to all iFit workouts on either bike. So there’s really no difference in the number of workouts you can get access to with either bike.

Nordictrack S22i vs Proform TDF PRO – Design and Construction
The Nordictrack S22i bike is a bit higher grade in construction here as it’s Nordictrack’s top “Commercial-grade” series bike. It’s a bit heavier with commercial-grade steel construction and enhanced corrosion-resistance.
So if you’re looking for the most stable bike for longer, heavier or more intense workouts, the S22i might be a better option here.
Bottom Line?
So which is best when comparing the Nordictrack S22i vs Proform TDF Pro bikes?
Both have their benefits. The Proform TDF Pro has more resistance levels – and the built-in Tour De France workouts. It also has slightly deeper decline and comes in a few hundred dollars less than the Nordictrack S22i bike.
On the other hand, the Nordictrack S22i bike has a much larger console, making it more enjoyable to watch. The handlebars are a bit more padded and comfortable.
Plus it also has a more commercial-grade frame and stronger overall construction. So it would probably hold up better to longer, more intense workouts (or multiple-user families).
So at the end of the day it really comes down to what’s most important to you in a bike.

Thanks for this comparison. Personally I don’t need the Tour De France fancy stuff – the Nordictrack looks like a better option. Plus, can’t you ride tour De France trails with iFit on the Nordictrack anyways? What’s the benefit of the Proform then? – Carmen
