Pros and Cons of the Nordictrack Studio 1000 Bike
The Nordictrack Studio Bike 1000 is one of the more affordable indoor bikes that Nordictrack’s brought in for the holiday season.
It’s a step up from the Nordictrack Studio Bike model with a larger console screen.
It comes iFit compatible so you can take a new studio cycling class from your home every day.
Or bike famous world trails and watch the scenery pass you by in the console screen for a little virtual reality fun.

Nordictrack Studio Bike 1000 Review – Key Benefits:
Full-Color, HD Screen
You get a 10-inch, full-color HD touch-screen console with this bike. This is a larger screen than the original Studio bike model and it makes it easier to read your workout stats.
You can also connect to iFit through the screen and ride famous trails all over the world (more on iFit below).
The console also comes with a dual-speed fan to keep you cool and a music port with console speakers. So you can plug in your devices and play your favorite workout music through the console speakers.
Cycle the World with iFit Coach
iFit is Nordictrack’s streaming technology that gives you a more immersive, effective cycling experience.
It will track your workouts over time so you can see how far you’ve come and set new goals. You can actually track the workout stats for 5 different family members. So everyone can keep track of their goals and workouts.
You can also bike famous trails all over the world – from portions of the Tour De France to the streets of Paris.
Personal trainers will lead you through the workout, pushing you to work harder and also pointing out interesting landmarks along the way.
There are over 12,000 different workouts to choose from, which means you’ll always have a new challenge. iFit workouts range from beginner to medium to advanced level training.
Can’t get to the gym?
No problem. With iFit Coach you can also stream high-energy workout sessions right from your console!
Different personal trainers will lead you through different cycling exercises controlling your bike’s incline, decline and resistance in real time.
The best part? If you get the Nordictrack Studio Bike through the Manufacturer, you can get a limited time full Family iFit membership included with this bike. So you can try it out for the full year to see if you like it.
3 Pound Handweights
You also get a pair of 3-pound dumbbells included with the Nordictrack Studio 1000 bike. These fit easily into the front bike rack in front of the console. So you can easily build in some upper body strength training intervals during your workout
Racing Style Handlebars
The ergonomic Racing Style handlebars with elbow support give you a comfortable place to put your arms as you cycle.
The padded, oversized seat is easily adjustable both forward and back. So you can find the right fit for your height. And the ergonomic pedals also comes with foot straps to keep your feet comfortably in place during your workout.
Nordictrack Studio Bike 1000 Review – Any Drawbacks?
There’s some confusion about iFit. There are 2 versions you can choose from – free and paid. If you don’t want the paid version, you can use the free version which includes some built in workouts.
But you won’t get access to all of the studio classes or world trail rides. (However the bike will work fine without the paid version of iFit.)
Also, unlike Nordictrack’s higher end Studio Bikes, there’s no incline or decline on the Studio 1000 bike.
If you’re looking for a super-affordable indoor bike that gives you the ability to add some virtual reality training to your workout – the Nordictrack Studio Bike 1000 is worth checking out.
You can use the large screen and iFit programs to ride trails all over the world or even map out your own with Googlemaps. Or add in some upper body training with the included handweights.
While it’s a bit simpler than Nordictrack’s other Studio bike models like the S22i or S27i – it’s also hundreds of dollars less. So all in all, it’s a good tradeoff.
