Strengths of the Nordictrack VR25 Recumbent Bike:
Full Color, HD Console
You get a full-color, HD, touch-screen console on this bike. So you can easily see your workout stats with a swipe of your finger.
The full-color console also makes watching iFit world scenery a lot more fun (more on iFit below).

The console also gives you a dual-speed cooling fan and a magazine rack.
Plus there’s also an auxiliary music port with speakers. So you can plug in your iPhone and play your favorite workout tunes through the console speakers.
Easy Step-Thru Design
The Nordictrack VR25 comes with a simple step-through design, meaning there’s not large barrier to trip over when you get on the bike – as you sometimes get with other recumbent models. This makes it a lot easier to get on and off the bike.

Travel the World With iFit Coach
iFit Coach connects your bike to the Internet using the Wifi in your home. From there you can track your workout stats online to see how far you’ve come, set new goals to reach and more!
You can also bike famous world trails – from the streets of Paris to the shores of Hawaii – and watch real life landmarks pass you by in the console screen. This is something that few bikes give you that adds a lot of virtual reality fun to your workouts.
Want more of a challenge?
You can stream a cycling fitness class right from your console to crank up that calorie burning. Or map out your own trail to ride using Googlemaps (you’ll still see the scenery as you cycle just like the pre-mapped trails).
In fact there are over 12,000 different workout videos you can watch with iFit – suitable for beginners right up to advanced exercisers alike.
And the best part?
If you get the new Nordictrack VR25 bike through the Manufacturer, you can get a 1-year membership to iFit Coach included. So you can try iFit Coach for a full year to see if you like it!

Padded Mesh-Back Style Seat For Cooler, More Comfortable Workouts
The seat on the Nordictrack VR25 commercial bike is made for extra comfort. It is molded with extra padding on the bottom and offers lumbar support to support your lower back.
It’s a mesh-type back style which lets the air circulate in and around your back to keep you cooler when you’re working out.
It’s also easily adjustable so you can find the right pedal distance for your height. And there are 2 cup holders on either side for your drink or keys remote, etc. which is also pretty handy.
25 lb Flywheel For Super-Smooth Ride
Heavier flywheels tend to give you a smoother ride – especially during the transitions between resistance levels or when slowing down. You don’t get that jumpy start-and-stop motion you sometimes get with cheaper bikes.
The Nordictrack Commercial VR25 gives you a heavy 25 pound flywheel which helps to give you a smoother feeling ride.
Resistance Controls On Side Handrails
The Nordictrack VR25 recumbent also comes with resistance controls on the side handrails – so you don’t have to reach up to the console to do it.
There’s also hand grip pulse sensors which make it easy to take your heart rate as you cycle. This is, again, something you don’t often find on a lot of recumbent bikes and it’s really convenient.
Adjustable Tablet Holder
This bike comes with a very handy adjustable tablet holder. You can attach your tablet and stream Netflix, Amazon or YouTube shows as you ride. This can also add more fun to your workouts.

Nordictrack VR25 Review – The Cons:
While you can currently get a full family membership to iFit Coach for a short time – if you want to continue using the iFit workouts, you’ll eventually have to renew the subscription.
You don’t need iFit to use this bike however – it works just fine without it and will still display your stats etc. So it’s just an option if you want to keep using iFit.
Bottom Line?
If you’re looking for a premium recumbent bike with stable design and lots of fun entertainment options, you’ll love the Nordictrack VR25 elite recumbent bike.
The heavier flywheel adds stability and smoothness to your ride. And the cushioned seat with lumbar support gives you an extra comfortable ride.
Plus with iFit Coach, you can bike trails all over the world, take a fitness class from your console and even track your workouts over time to see how far you’ve come.
From the iFit Coach workouts to the tablet holder to the iPod dock and speakers, you’ll basically never run out of fun things to do on this bike! Great value for the money.
